Brought up in South Johannesburg, South Africa, Hein made quite a shift from his fields of study, Zoology and Botany, to work at height but has none the less made quite the impact. Hein is an IRATA technician and an IWH level 3 rope access supervisor, assessor, moderator and trainer, with over 20, 000 hours gained across a 19-year career involved in off-shore access and rigging, heavy lifting operations and industrial cleaning to name a few. The solution driven nature of his work as well as the unpredictability moves Hein into bringing order to chaos and helping discover purpose in people. He is currently the Managing Director of Gravity Access (Pty) Ltd
